Chris Grove is a real estate specialist with The Katie Nicholson Team of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty. He specializes in our Howard, Carroll, Montgomery, and Baltimore County markets!
Prior to getting his real estate license, Chris spent 25 years in the horse racing industry as a trainer, jockey, and exercise rider. Competing mostly in the Mid-Atlantic area, he consistently finished in the top ten among trainers for “Wins” in the state of Maryland and was chosen as the state’s 2007 Trainer of the Year. His career was topped with over 600 victories, and he competed in the world-renowned Preakness Stakes twice (2011 and 2012) at Pimlico Racecourse. As a jockey, Chris was the leading amateur jockey in North America three years in a row (1993–1995) while riding all over the world.
Chris has been married to his wife, Rachael, for over 24 years, and they have two sons, Noah (21) and Carson (18). Noah is on two National teams: the USA National Sled Hockey Team and the USA Amputee Soccer Team. Carson spends his energy playing on three soccer teams, including a high-level club team.
Born and raised in Frederick County, Chris is highly involved in the community. He is a member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren, donates his time to the Frederick Soup Kitchen and Maryland Food Bank, and volunteers his time as a youth soccer head coach.
Whether buying, selling, investing, flipping, or knowing of someone who is, let a successful native of the area help you through this critical process.
